As part of this terms topic on Victorian Toys, year 2 will be visiting Blackburn Museum on Monday 5
th February. Whilst at the Museum their visit will be divided into three parts; first, they will look at toys, both old
and new and explore the ways in which we can tell ‘old’ from ‘new’. At the same time the children
will learn how the old toys were played with and have a go themselves before, finally, sitting down and making their own toy to take back to school. we expect to return to school at normal home time, but this will depend on traffic, and could be slightly later. (We will inform parents via text if it is later than ex pected). The children are to wear their school uniform.
All the children will need a packed lunch in a carrier bag for easy disposal; children on free school meals will have a packed lunch
provided by the school kitchen. We are asking for a donation of £4.00, towards entry and workshops.
Please sign and return the form and payment by Friday19th January. Any questions or queries please see me in school.
