Year 6 Residential-Patterdale Hall, Lake District 

Monday 24th March to Wednesday 26th March 2025.

Patterdale Hall is a wonderful stately home, set in its own extensive grounds, based between the fells of the Lake District and next to Lake Ullswater. The new residential site offers us an extremely varied outdoor activity programme, fantastic food and accommodation.

Please complete and return the relevant permission slip and send payment into school as soon as possible. Also, please note the times children need to be in school, when they are back and the equipment they need for their trip.

Wednesday 2nd April 2025 - Year 4 - Southport Eco Centre

Year 4 will be visiting Southport Eco Centre on Wednesday 2nd April. Whilst at the recycling centre, children will be looking at the cost of waste on the environment. Pupils will learn how we can do more to reduce waste, through interactive hands-on activities, including in house digital games, as well as discovering how big our waste footprint can be in 21st century. The day will challenge their view about the rubbish they generate and explore new technologies that enable, better, innovative waste management.

 

Friday 4th April 2025 - Year 6 - Brockhole Visitor Centre

As part of this terms topic on The Lake District, year 6 will be visiting Brockholes Visitor Centre in Windermere on Friday 4th April. During this trip the children will take part in a Detective Session, followed by lunch and a trail in the grounds. 

 

Monday 7th April 2025 - Year 1 - Cuerden Valley

As part of this terms science topic, children from year 1 will be visiting Cuerden Valley on Monday 7th April. Whilst at Cuerden Valley, children will participate in a morning of Woodland Wonders, which is all about plants, colours and textures and will incorporate a scavenger hunt.
In the afternoon children will be carrying out a mini beast session and will become a nature detective.

 

Wednesday 9th April 2025 - Year 5 - Cuerden Valley

As part of this terms science topic on Rivers, year 5 will be visiting Cuerden Valley on Wednesday 9th April. During this trip the children will take part in a “River studies” learning session, followed by lunch and a wild walk trail around the grounds.
