As a part of your child’s education at St John’s, we promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education programme. PSHE education is the curriculum subject that gives children the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live safe, healthy, productive lives and meet their full potential.
As a school community, we are committed to working in partnership with parents. If you would like to find out more or discuss any concerns, we would urge you to attend the information meeting and look forward to seeing you there.
Life Education Centres is a charity providing unique health and drug education programmes which teaches children about the wonder of their bodies, how to take care of them, and how drugs (including medicines, alcohol and tobacco) can affect them.
All our children will have an opportunity to take part in the programme, which is specifically designed for their age group. The aim is to encourage the children to think about all aspects of health, and make positive decisions about themselves.
We are asking for a £3.00 donation towards the cost of the Life Bus.
We are noticing, now the better weather is with us, that more children are coming to school riding their bikes. A fantastic healthy way to start the day.
We have also noticed that the majority of these children are not wearing a bike helmet.
Please could we ask, for the safety of your children, that they wear a bike helmet to travel to and from school.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
