WHOLE SCHOOL SCIENCE WEEK@ST JOHN'S

All of the classes enjoyed taking part in the NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK linked to the theme-'Connections'.
A big thank you to all of the St John's parents, families and governors who joined us in school on the final afternoon of our science week.
Lots of exciting and interesting things took place in the classrooms linked to the theme 'Connections' including:
*Reception-Observing tadpoles grow, planting seeds and investigating our senses
*Class 1-Also have been observing tadpoles in the classroom and growing new plants
*Class 2-Have observed chicks hatching in the classroom (All of the children loved meeting the chicks for the first time!)
*Class 3-Have been 'mummifying' tomatoes!
*Class 4-Examined their own fingerprints
*Class 5-Designed and made a Viking longboat
*Class 6-Explored different ways to communicate, researched famous British Scientists and visited Stanah County Park for a signs of spring walk!
