CLASS 1 ART & D.T VISIT TO STANLEY PARK

Class 1 visited Stanley park last week and finished their art and design technology topics.  After studying the artist Andy Goldsworthy and exploring his sculptures in the classroom, we collected lots of natural materials in Stanley Park and produced our own pieces of art inspired by what we had learnt.

For our D.T project we planned what we thought would be a safe and comfortable home for a hedgehog and then we built a strong safe structure in the woodland area of the park.The class 1 children loved their morning at Stanley Park and produced some great pieces of art work and some lovely hedgehog homes - hopefully the hedgehogs in the park will move in over the weekend.
