2018 School’s Alive - Dance Festival

Wednesday 7th February - Grand Theatre

 

As you may be aware Year 6 are taking part in the Blackpool School’s Alive festival on the evening of Wednesday 7th February. This is an exciting opportunity for children to perform on a real stage with a live audience and this year it is being held at The Grand Theatre, and we have chosen to perform songs from Oliver.

 

The performance starts at 6.30pm therefore all children need to meet outside Nando’s at 6.15pm to ensure we have enough time to be seated before the show begins.  The show is expected to finish between 9.00pm – 9.15pm, children will need to be collected from Nando’s at 9.30pm. Children may bring a health snack and a drink (not fizzy). The children will also be attending a rehearsal at the Grand during the school day of the 7th February.

 

Family and friends are welcome to watch and tickets should be purchased from the Grand Theatre directly.

 

Costumes

 

The children will need the following:

Grey or Black trousers (Must be old so we can cut them up)

White Shirt (Must be old so we can cut it up)

Black Pumps

 

We have in school a number of aprons and mop caps but we are in need of 3 more white aprons and 1 Mop Cap, if any parent has any of these we could borrow please let the class teacher know.

 

If you are happy for your child to take part in this exciting event, please return the slip no later than Friday 2nd February, as exact participation numbers need to be submitted.
