Year 6 Trip – Beatrix Potter Museum/ Windermere Ambleside Cruise

On Monday 10th July, as part of the Year 6 creative curriculum topic 'The Lake District' we will be taking the class to the Beatrix Potter Museum in Windermere and a cruise around Lake Windermere in the afternoon.  During our trip we will be finding out about the life and works of Beatrix Potter, which we will cover in our English lessons this half term, together with looking at the geography of the Lake District.

Children must be in school on time as the mini-buses will be leaving promptly after registration; we will return to school at approx 3.45pm.  Uniform jumper and T Shirt must be worn, children may wear trousers, comfortable shoes, and a waterproof coat is advised.

Packed lunches will be provided by the school kitchen for children entitled to free school meals only, all other pupils will need to bring their own packed lunch, in a named plastic bag so all rubbish can be disposed of. Please give children any travel sickness medication before leaving, and send in a named envelope for the return journey.

We are asking for a donation of £5.00 towards the cost of the museum entry, boat trip and travel expenses.

Please could parents complete the permission slip below and send into school with the £5.00 donation by Wednesday 5th July.

Thank you
