'Safer Internet Day:Free To Be Me-exploring identity online'

At St John's yesterday we celebrated all of the great things about being online and reminded ourselves how we can stay safe.

We had a special 'Internet Safety' assembly which was about how children should manage their online identity and how the internet shapes how they think of themselves and others.

During the assembly Miss Johnston reminded all of the children that they must speak to an adult (at home or at school) if :

*They are unsure about something they have shared online about their own personal identity.

*If someone else online has asked them for personal information or for photos or videos.

*If someone else online has worried or upset them.

All of the classes this week will be learning more about 'Internet Safety' with their teachers.
