Exciting Playground Developments

We’re delighted to announce, that we’ve further improved our outdoor learning environment with the addition of some exciting resources and play equipment.

Make way for mud pies! Our new Mud Kitchen will transform the children into little chefs while they experience nature-rich messy play. The perfect resource for role play and investigative fun.

For further messy play opportunities, we added a Sand Table which will develop children’s sense of touch and small muscle control as they explore the wonderful characteristics of sand. We also installed a Straight Planter because we wanted to connect the children with nature and involve them in selecting, planting and caring for plants

To create a zone for mark making, we added two Giant Whiteboards and a Giant Blackboard to the area. These large scale blank canvases, offers the children a wonderful opportunity to practice art and writing skills while drawing on their surroundings for inspiration.

We installed a Giant Playhouse to encourage role play and creative thinking. This versatile and open-ended resource can be transformed into a bakery one day and a travel agents the next day… the opportunities are endless.

For seating, we installed an Octagonal Picnic Table alongside three fun Game Top Picnic Tables which include games such as Connect 4 and Ludo. It’s a fantastic way to encourage social interaction and problem solving.

Further seating has been provided through the addition of moveable artificial grass topped seats to offer versatile seating that can be changed and adapted regularly to suit teaching needs.

Moreover, we re-surfaced a huge area with natural looking artificial grass to ensure it can be accessed in all weathers without disruption.

We worked with Pentagon Play on this project and highly recommend them to any school looking to develop their outdoor area.
